By whatever standards the world sets, I am a self-professed shopaholic. I know when the sales starts and when it ends. I know where to get cheap stuff (which are branded) and I like to think I have quite okay taste in clothes, shoes, bags, perfumes & other stuff ...
Let me spread my bimboness (as stated by so many of you) and share with you a few do's and don'ts in this mega sale season.
1) Don't ever ever buy anything when they tell you it's the last piece. LIARS! LIARS! How come everything is the last piece? You know what happens when you buy the last pair of shoes? One side will be too big and one will be small. When you buy the last bag, it will be dirty. So, no matter how gorgeous it is, don't buy it if it's the last pair.
2) Don't fall for 'free gifts' gimmicks. Seriously, you will never need that tiny little tube of foundation or that teeny weensy lip gloss that they give. Do not let free gifts be your motivation..because..as harsh as this may sound..Nothing is really free.
3) On the contrary..asks for free gifts! Okay, I have not gone insane. But this is true. When you spend RM100 above on cosmetics ... always ask for free gifts. Trust me. I've been so persistent on asking for free gifts that I've gotten free mascaras and full size lip gloss. Kiam siap like that weh !!
4) Only buy what you really need. I always prioritize my shopping (chewah ...). If i need shoes, I only look for shoes. I don't care if the bag is gorgeous and on a 50% discount ... I will only look for shoes. It makes things so much easier.
5) Keep away the plastic ... go for cash. If you've got a credit card ... keep it at home. Try to use cash as much as you can.
6) If there's a defect ... don't buy it. I've seen people buy shoes that are a little too large (just because it's on discount) and bags that are dirty. Don't do that! Chances are, you will hate yourself for wasting money on something that is defected.
7) Don't buy TWO of ANYTHING. I once made a stupid mistake by buying two of the same shirts (in different colours, of course). I had to give one to my sister because it's just silly to wear the same shirt in pink on Monday and blue on Tuesday.
8) Don't buy ugly stuff because it's cheap. Seriously. No matter how much cheap it is, I will never buy ugly stuff. Buy things that you really like, that look nice, that you know won't go to waste.
End.
Now, happy shopping. I know I didn't have such a good start at the mega sales. All five pairs of shoes that I tried in Charles & Keith didn't have my size. Puffff !!! but I managed to get a cardigan & 2 casual tshirts from Zara, two pairs of tank top & a tube from MNG ... enough retail theraphy for me at this moment ... hahaha
hhhhmmmm ... but I still haven't got that perfect stiletto heel from Nine West, the drop dead gorgeous handbag & oooohhhhh ... it's HARD !!!
